Since yesterday the temperature’s at night and early morning doesn’t go above 12 degrees Celsius (54 F) and tomorrow it will be 9 degrees then on Thursday it will further drop a notch lower at 8 degrees (46 F). Then the rest of the week will be just like that and it makes me want to just stay on bed or travel to the tropics. It is indeed chilly inside the house and there’s no furnace to at least make it warm.
This made me to keep tracking of the remaining days before D-Day. I actually have a scheduled travel for a vacation in Cebu, Philippines either on the first or third of March this year and I am hoping that it isn’t that hot there yet. It will also be a perfect time to try and take more snapshots for the 600D and how well it goes. This reminds me in our vacation last year (July) when I wasn’t able to take more pictures as I want to since the battery of my PowerShot S400 will just die down so quick and there’s seems to have some issues too in the memory card. But this time around I will no longer be deprived of that opportunity to practice shooting more pictures in Cebu and probably Palawan too.
We don’t have descent pictures of his celebration and most are blurry including the customized cake that angers my wife as it wasn’t the one she expected to have. Below was the cake and the tarp used in his birthday.
During one of my travel in the North of Cebu (I think it was 2007) my attention was caught when I saw the structure below that made me think and ask myself that, is this how hard life be in here? That the person who built the structure had to do it on the waters? I believe this could be where s/he take her/his rest the days work is finished. Looking at it, I think the one at the far right (at the back) is probably the comfort room, the way I see it and the way it was covered.
Water over troubled house.
This is my entry to Techie She’s Lucky Blogger Weekly Giveaways Week 18. This week’s prize is $10 paypal credits from WAHWM of Work at Home Wife and Mother.
It’s been five (5) days since my last post and the quietness here won’t go awry any further. The crossing fingers are finished and that I have on hand what I am longing for in a long time. So it is now official that this blog has achieved its one goal that the baby is now a reality.
Do you know what I’m talking about? I’m sure not, so let’s get going.
Photography is not new to me and I love taking shots despite the dilapidated PowerShot S400 PNS I got in a good prize for you my friend. It’s not that it was broken or had issues, it’s just SLR was way high in my priorities at that time and way expensive too (that was 7 years ago). But I am not getting closer or near becoming an expert in photography either, I am just enjoying it when I was able to earn sixth place from more than hundred entries in an online photo contest. And the photo below was my entry using the PowerShot S400 PNS. What you think of my shot?
And then, when I have the means to get a DSLR, other family priority has to be taken of first and keep that on hold for another time once again. But yesterday was the reality coming so fast in front of my face that I have to decide which one to take home. I was actually like turn between two lovers in choosing what DSLR I should have. It’s like forever when trying to make a decision and I mean the appropriate decision for this could be for a long while investment.
So in the end, I made my choice and welcome home… 600D. I well introduce you later to her in a separate post. Thanks to my wife for making it a reality. And as of the moment, I am exploring it one at a time. I will show you then a sample.
Travelling is exciting and full of adventure more so when it is your first time in that place. Whether it is by land, sea or air there’s always inconvenience along the way and careful planning could mean the difference between disaster and tragedy less trip. It is always a headache when it comes to making plans but it is not that difficult as well because there are plenty of guides that you’ll find in the internet.
When I had my recent vacation last July, I went to my father’s place and travel by air for almost 10 hours. You can already imagine the inconvenience sitting on long haul flight in a cramped economy seat especially that I have long legs were movements are very limited. Not to mention the high health risk of developing Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT). But you know what, one time I had a superb experience sitting in the first class. Or should I say lying down? But that will be in a separate post so I can chronicle what happened that day.
Anyway going back to that trip, on the next morning we took the road up north to the tip of Cebu with my father on the steering wheel. I usually don’t drive on the first few days upon arrival because I want to observe and note the changes (if there is) in road signs and directions. The trip was smooth since we left at 7 in the morning. Then after awhile I spotted a very familiar name on the billboard at the roadside. Refer in the photo to the right.
And for active Adgitize members, I’m sure you are familiar with Wiggy’s World and you might have clicked on his banner as well. This caught my attention because one time it was featured in Adgitize advertising contest.
