Another Blunder in Aesthetic Fixtures

In our vacation earlier this May, end us up going back to Bantayan Island as it is the nearest good beach destination so for the family to gather. There are so many variable things that were considered before we end up there and we stayed in Sta. Fe Beach Resort for two main reasons. One, being near from the pier itself and the next is that, they have cheaper rates for the extended family of ours and since they have plans of going to Ogtong Cave, it is the best option as to speak since they offer free day use of their facilities if you are staying at Sta. Fe Beach Resort.

The photo above is the family cottages that we occupied for 3D/2N while the one below is the main building of the resort that houses the standard and deluxe rooms.

Since the vacation is a family gathering, to celebrate the 70th birthday of our father, we opted to occupy the cottages for numerical reason. And on the first night of our stay, I immediately noticed something that is not good in my eyes. Although the cottages are already at its prime and I believe that it needs some refurbish but it should not become the reason for this kind of electrical fixtures as it could possibly turn down guest of coming back. Not to mention the safety hazard that it poses unless it was approved by licensed electrician and the fire department, which I doubt. A small spark could ignite a big fire since the materials used in the cottage are made of light materials and are already very dry.

This is simply another blunder in aesthetic fixtures.

Easy Day at the Beach

Some countries are freezing up until now due to the unusual extension of their winter season while in most tropical countries, sunburn and prickly heat are common sight now in these areas. In Tropical countries, the usual relief is a refreshing dip in a cool pool, lakes and the beach.

Beaches in Asian countries are considered to be one of the best. Sugary fine white sand that are mysteriously cool to the feet even at high noon, virgin coral beds teeming with different sea creatures and foliage which makes it a great snorkeling site. One may also enjoy the cool sea breeze while swaying the day away on a hammock handcrafted by the natives using indigenous materials which make it all the more cool because it is not synthetic. A glass of freshly squeezed lemon juice sweetened with natural honey may elevate the feeling of fresh and easy day at the beach.

There are a million and one ways to keep cool and fresh. One basic thing is proper hydration. Water is the perfect tool and readily available whenever heat tries to take its toll on you. Other options are fresh fruit juices like coconut water, watermelon, honeydew and other tropical fruits. It gives you lots of liquids plus the nutrients it carries with it.

Five Days in Bantayan Island

Our trip to Bantayan Island started at the Hagnaya Warf on the west side of Cebu and took a ferry boat ride for an hour. We were there for five days and four nights and stayed at Sta. Fe Beach Club (the photo below) located a few meters away from the pier in Bantayan. We stayed at the second floor just left of the balcony so we can have a clear view of the sunset.

We did not stay there until in our second day in the island. We actually transferred from the other resort which is our first choice based on the reviews I’ve read online but our experience turns out to be the opposite. It wasn’t the kind of service we expected from the money we paid them. Imagine being serve late and you are starving then when it was served, the rice was undercook and there’s still some hard portion when we ate (we don’t have a choice by then).

The next day we packed and left without any single hesitation and moved to Sta. Fe Beach Club which is the sister resort of Ogtong Cave. And the good thing is if you stay there, you will have free use of amenities at Ogtong Cave and free transport also to and fro but they just have specific timings on the transport.
